(from festival site) - Uke Fest activities are located in the heart of beautiful, Reed College campus which surrounds the Johnson Creek watershed and is home to abundant wildlife-a perfect setting for learning and relaxation.Each class extends over three consecutive days to deepen your learning and jump start your playing technique and repetoire at any level. To round out your musical experience you can join in other classes such as hula, acoustic bass, and percussion. Repertoire classes include Hawaiian, ragtime, jazz standards, and folk.

( from festival's site ) - this event was born as an "open doors to mercatino dell'ukulele", the italian online shop, and also coincides with the first anniversary of youkulele, the italian forum. we will have concerts in the evening, workshops, open mic, exhibition of ukes for sale, raffle with everyday prices and free ticket to be win participating to the activities (play, buy, eat...), good italian food and an hawaiian breakfast offered from Leolani ukuleles
