( from festival site ) - A festival to benefit Gorge community school music programs. This year features the Langley Ukulele Ensemble, James Hill, Lil' Rev & Lyle Ritz! Friday night concert, Saturday ukulele workshops & Saturday night instructor concert in the beautiful setting of the Columbia River Gorge. Sponsored by Mya-Moe Ukuleles.

( from festival's site ) - Third annual Oakridge Ukulele Festival in Oakridge, OR. We have a new venue for classes this year, the Westridge School, a large flexible space. Also new in 2013 is camping in RV's or tents on the school lawn, hot showers inside the school. Local lodging in motels or B&B's, RV parks, and camping in the national forest also available. On Saturday evening there will be a variety of performances and jams in the Uptown Neighborhood of Oakridge, shuttles to/from Westridge School will run at convenient times for festival participants.

(from festival site) - Uke Fest activities are located in the heart of beautiful, Reed College campus which surrounds the Johnson Creek watershed and is home to abundant wildlife-a perfect setting for learning and relaxation.Each class extends over three consecutive days to deepen your learning and jump start your playing technique and repetoire at any level. To round out your musical experience you can join in other classes such as hula, acoustic bass, and percussion. Repertoire classes include Hawaiian, ragtime, jazz standards, and folk.

( from festival's site ) - Ukulele University, ( Uke U.) July 20,21,22, 2012 at the Runway Ranch, Bend Oregon, the beautiful and private home of the High and Dry Bluegrass Festival. Planned activities include workshops, jams and play-alongs, open mics, performances, and the opportunity to spend the weekend with good people from the ukulele community. Runway Ranch is 20 minutes East of downtown Bend. Facilities include clean irrigated unimproved campsites, RV parking (no hook-ups) and port-a-potties. This first year we are looking for volunteers as instructors and performers.
