Video Session Information 6 MAR 2012
All Study with Curt students have the option of a periodic face-to-face, virtual lesson using Apple‘s FaceTime or Skype. This session is good for touching base and seeing where you are in your development and to access your short and long term goals.
These sessions are typically fifteen minutes. This seems to be the ideal time for evaluating your current status. In my private face-to-face half hour sessions the first fifteen minutes is devoted to evaluating the assignments from the previous lesson. With the remaining fifteen minutes for writing out and assigning new material for the next lesson. With on-line lessons this I do off line and post to your Student Assets and Resources.
Glossary of Music Terms 23 MAR 2012

Music Pursuing the Horizon, Part One • The Student - On Practice 20 MAR 2012
Practice is that inevitable dues-paying time that everyone must invest to pursue music. In the self study approach, the most difficult aspect of practice is the organization of musical and technical principles. Too often the player works in circles not really progressing, not knowing what to practice. Becoming aware of this lack of progress, he begins searching for sources of information. Books, recordings and other musicians are primary sources. Though these approaches are sometimes helpful, they are not flexible enough to solve specific problems for specific students. An individual can form habits from misinformation that can be detrimental to his progress for years.
Content is always being added and updated. So check-in often. Thanks, for visiting!!!
